One of the most prominent features that makes this car special is its central hydraulic system which makes the Citroën DS 23 Pallas ride like no other vehicle. This car doesn’t have springs as suspension, instead it uses an intricate system of fluid and gas stored in a sphere that moves around when cornering absorbing shock like an active suspension would. It was named DS after the French word for goddess, and yes, we can still see the divinity in it after 40 years.
