The Philadelphia Eagles just finally went out and extended DeVonta Smith in the late stages of NFL free agency and it’s perfect because this move by Howie Roseman and the Eagles to extend DeVonta Smith is just the latest domino to fall in a series of moves that have set the Eagles up for many years of success. In NFL news, the Eagles also extended Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson and Jalen Hurts through 2028 while AJ Brown and Saquon Barkley are under contract through 2026. The Eagles have a great core under contract through 2026 and this DeVonta Smith extension is just the latest move setting them up for success. Meanwhile the Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb are not on the same page on an extension and neither are the 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk.
