In her sermon, Mother Kristin related the Gospel story of Jesus cleansing the temple to the idea that “salvation — to love God with our whole hearts . . . and to love our neighbor as ourselves — can’t be bought or sold.” Salvation is to be practiced.

Our faith, she said, “saves us from being cramped in small lives of selfishness. We move from what Paul called ‘the wisdom of the world’ into the wisdom of God.”
