I am competing in the 2022 Meeker Mustang Makeover Undersaddle Divison. The drive was gorgeous and pretty interesting. It was a 6-hour drive from Pueblo to Meeker, going through the Great Divide instead of over it, which was pretty cool. The Steve Mantle clinics helped me a lot, giving me more information and tools to help me refine my horsemanship skills for the next 100 days. I am super excited for our journey together!

If you are new to my channel, I am a 16-year-old horse trainer from Pueblo, Colorado. I have been training horses since August of 2018, and Lady will be the second wild mustang I will have trained. I will also compete in the Youth Fort Worth Extreme Mustang Makeover this year. I picked up my partner for that competition on May 13th; his pick-up video should be out relatively soon. Previously, I competed in the 2021 Oklahoma City Extreme Mustang Makeover with a 2-year-old curly mustang whom I named Chester. I use natural horsemanship to teach horses to overcome fear and find the power, love, and self-control within themselves to set them up for success. I love training mustangs because they start with a very fearful start of mind and it's so rewarding to watch them overcome and make huge transformations with just a bit of patience. There are too many mustangs for the range to support so they have to be gathered and cared for in holding pens. The demand for adoption is less than the amount needing homes, mainly because they aren't trained yet, so by training them and helping them overcome their fear, they can find homes much more easily. My goal is to help mustangs, one horse at a time, and makeovers are a big part of that for me.
