Everyone has their own journey when it comes to finding and accepting themselves. However, some people may have a harder time doing so. In 2018, the movie “Love, Simon” was released to the public and it received some positive feedback. This movie tells the story of a young teenage boy who is struggling to keep his identity secret. None of Simon’s friends know that he is gay, and he intends it to stay that way. Unfortunately for him, his secret gets threatened which forces his hand in coming out.

Coming out is not an easy thing to do, and this is especially true for teenagers. However, the most important thing of all is to stay true to yourself - which is something Simon teaches us all.
