Historically the marque has been known as an eccentric brand that produces beautiful and powerful sedans with classic old world style but the sales have always lagged. While one of the most famed British marques faltered, it’s European mainland rivals have exploded on the world stage. Today the German trifecta of Audi, BMW, and Mercedes are household names and sales stars. Jaguar wants to follow suit but sedans alone don’t get the job done, nor do they guarantee the continuation of the marque. To survive Jaguar needs to adapt and evolve. The F-Pace is their first SUV and without a doubt their most important machine ever built. Now the question is whether or not an often-aristocratic marque can transform into an affordable, and more importantly credible, luxury competitor and the future of the big cat hangs in the balance.
