Decentralized computing architectures and the new class of applications that they make possible represent the next major stage of computer technology. Professor Dan Boneh, who heads the applied cryptography group and co-directs the computer security lab at Stanford, discusses how this can bring a huge explosion in services running on decentralized platforms in the coming years.
