On Day 11 of the Spring Cleaning Spree 2024 we are cleaning our bathroom exhaust fans! By getting these clean, we are going to help the air in our bathroom circulate so much better, helping to prevent musty smells and mold from building up. I want to give a big shout out to @livecomposed and @WeeklyHomeCheck for introducing me to the “toilet paper” test, which helps us see how well how fans are currently functioning. It was so satisfying after cleaning the fan to see that paper stick! For the particular fan I’m cleaning in this video, I was able to remove the vent cover and fully wash it, but was not able to remove the actual fan inside. There are some bathroom fans that you can completely take down safely to make cleaning the inside a bit easier. When you go to clean your own exhaust fan, I suggest taking the time to try and Google your type of fan and see how to properly take it apart so you know exactly what you can and cannot clean.
