During the Intel Accelerated event, Intel decided that it didn’t like the game everyone else was playing, so it's going to make its own. If numbers don't mean anything, don't use numbers.

Intel announced that it's entering the "Angstrom" era, talking about its Intel 18A & Intel 20A CPUs, but also renaming its 10nm process to "7." That's right -- just "7." Not 7nm, but 7. Intel is also renaming 7nm to 4, and 7nm+ to 3. Intel is being selective in its shedding of units, though, because it's adopting Angstrom for 18A and 20A CPUs.
