For the first time, 10 young adults speak to each other about what they have learned in the last ten years since surviving the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.

Dear World facilitates storytelling through a unique storytelling method called Prtrait process.

Sandy Hook Survivors come together on the 10-year anniversary to experience the Dear World Method. Together they heal, discuss, and explore their identities.

There is no timeline for grief.

Dear World is a storytelling organization that celebrates the power of personal stories. The organization has developed narrative storytelling methods that utilize art, photography, video, and interpersonal facilitation. Dear World’s work has been published in over 30 countries, working with luminaries like Nobel Peace prize winner Muhammad Yunus, Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees, and the late ESPN anchor Stuart Scott. Since its founding, more than 500,000 people have experienced one of its storytelling methods through conferences, keynotes, workshops, or fieldwork.

Its charity, DearWorld.org has produced and visited communities that have experienced hardship to share their stories including Boston after the marathon bombing, South Sudan after independence and civil strife, Orlando after the Pulse night club shooting, Jordan after Syrians migration out of their country, and COVID ICU nurses during the pandemic of 2020.
