Our professor assigned us to perform this song because we have six women. She pointed directly to me and said, "Amelie, you play Hunyak. You could speak Chinese."

But I don't want to perform in Chinese. So boring! Instead, I chose to speak Shanghai dialect because I am from Shanghai, and Hunyak speaks Hungarian, which most of the audience may not understand.

When I was performing, many of the audience members thought I was speaking Chinese. It was an understandable misunderstanding.

It was an interesting experience to be the only female from Shanghai in this musical, Chicago.
