Abstract:
Various types of traditional water systems are found all over Maharashtra. These are beautiful masonry structures, meticulously built and carefully maintained through traditional knowledge systems and wisdom. But now most of these structures are ignored, not looked after, or have vanished, leading to a loss of our age-old resources and heritage, and therefore requiring urgent conservation measures and awareness.
