Earlier this week Car and Driver published an article about the 10 most expensive cars that sold on bring a trailer in 2023   and to most people's surprise, only 1 ferrari made the list, and in an even bigger surprise, 4 out of the top 5 most expensive cars sold on bring a trailer in 2023 were Porsches. Now Bring A Trailer is just a small cross section of all automotive sales, but these results are pretty representative of the rest of the market in 2023.
And while the 250 series Ferraris from the 1960s will remain the most valuable cars for the next few decades, 
if we look at the values of Porsches and Ferraris in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, Porsches tend to be worth significantly more than their Ferrari counterparts.  
In this video we're going to compare the values of the top performance cars from both Porsche and Ferrari in every decade from the 1970s to the 2000s to see which cars from those eras have the highest values.

Now once we hit the 2010s and 2020s the ferraris from those eras do tend to be worth more than porsches, but as you can see from the 70s through the 2000s, porsches are almost always worth more.
