I bought this 2021 sprinter van last year on my birthday! I decided to convert it into my tiny home on wheels. I wanted to venture off and explore every mountain I could on my bike, for this I needed a home on wheels. I was so nervous for this adventure so When my Dad and I were building this conversion we tried to really think out all possible scenarios. It took us 6 long dedicated months to finish this project. I wanted to make sure I lived comfortable, felt cozy, and practical for all my MTB adventure needs. A lot of people said by the second month living in the van I was going to realize a list of things I regretted......that moment still hasn't come. I have been living in the van full time for the past 9 months. I have been absolutely loving it. Don't get me wrong, some days are hard, finding places to sleep that felt safe or where to fill up my water tanks and just adjusting to the fact that my day to day things now just take a little more time than usual. But to be honest, we thought this build out so well and really catered it to my needs, a good build will make this experience so much better. I love this layout and truly believe it is the best layout for a 170 Sprinter van, even with a shower the place still feels big and roomy. We tried to maximize on all the little open spaces putting the wine rack, hidden shoe storage, hanging closet, etc. The garage has everything I need too, my bikes are always safely stored away inside so I don't need to worry while I sleep or leave the van. For more safety tips I have a Thule lock on the sliding and back doors. It was super easy to install and makes me feel comfortable when leaving the van, it locks and I confidently walk away with the keys! My full kitchen feels perfect especially for someone who really enjoys cooking meals everyday. Another huge thing that I believe is a must is the A/C...I would spend the extra money on it if you are thinking to live in it full time or even thinking to take it around during summer time, the heat gets brutal and without the A/C this experience would defiantly not have been enjoyable.

If you are thinking to do a van build, DO IT!!! It is an experience that is life changing, an adventure that takes you to so many beautiful places to meet so many incredible people and to simply realize how beautiful this world we live in is.
