No one knows exactly what causes the range of post COVID-19 infection symptoms, often called long covid. In Singapore, 1 in 10 recovered COVID-19 patients has had persistent symptoms six months after their initial infection. But as the virus mutates and becomes more widespread in recent months, it seems some lingering symptoms are changing as well.
