(Melvin's FBS record was broken just 1 week after this game, by Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine, who rushed for 427 against Kansas.)
Melvin Gordon had one of the most dominating performances by a running back in NCAA FBS history, posting 408 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns from only 25 carries (16.3 ypc) against Nebraska. He accomplished this only playing in the first 3 quarters of the game.
These were Melvin's highlights, as well as those of his offensive line and other blockers without whom the performance would not have been possible.
