The large-scale production line for green peas involves several important steps. The peas are harvested and taken to processing facilities. There, they're washed and cleaned using machines that move them along and spray water. After that, the peas are cooked and frozen quickly to keep them fresh. Machines then put the frozen peas into bags, and robotic arms wrap them up. Conveyors carry the wrapped bags to boxes for shipping. This whole process is automated to make sure it's efficient, consistent, and high-quality. Finally, the frozen green peas are sent to supermarkets and stores all around the world.

China stands as the leading global producer of green peas, contributing a substantial share of the world's supply. In 2022, China's output reached an impressive 11 million tonnes, making up the biggest percentage of the total production, about 50%. Following closely, India holds the position of the world's second-largest green pea producer accounting for 30% of the total global production.
