Apart from the hugely successful main song and several others, this wonderful animated epic had a suitably grand score by Hans Zimmer. This was one of the few moments of restraint in an otherwise loud and spectacular film. The final plague, the passing of the angel of death, was left without music, and it is very effective with just sound effects. But then Zimmer's heart-breaking cello piece creeps in, as Moses confronts Ramses.
