The highly successful director Michael Steiner is one of the most eminent and dazzling figures of the Swiss filmmaking scene. His adventure movie MEIN NAME IST EUGEN garnered the 2006 Swiss Film Award for Best Fiction Film, his comedy WOLKENBRUCH was Switzerland's official entry for the 2019 Oscars and, most recently, his hostage drama UND MORGEN SEID IHR TOT (2021) caused a sensation.
