The video shows my process to reverse-engineering a drum tone from scratch. From frequency analysis to identify the fundamental note of the drum, to drum size, shell type and drum head selection, tuning, and also some mixing processes, we end up with a pretty awesome result and learned a few things along the way!

Misery Business changed the game when it came to snare drum sound and the combination of Zac Farro, Dave Bendeth and Dan Korneff created something truly special!
Who should we do next?

This video is an abridged version of a larger, more detailed video which is live on my Patreon Page. Check it out for the full version as well as samples of the snare taken from the session!
