The Real Reginald Angus Argue - May 24, 2023, shares a story from his military service days involving going overseas to Iran in 1988 on the UN Peacekeeping Tour of Duty, along with the poem he wrote, "We Are Canadians."

He also shared how the Russians came in to pick up 55 Canadian Peacekeepers, taking us from Iran, through Moscow airport, then onto Montreal.

The Real Reginald Angus Argue, talking about 55 of these Peacekeepers, including him, were walking throughout the Moscow airport when the Iron Curtain was still up, plus how they were wearing Combats, blue Berets, and green jungle boots.

The Real Reginald Angus Argue also shared a poem he wrote in 2021 called "We Are Canadian."

We are Canadian.

Each of my words has become like a high-explosive round blasting out from 105 mm howitzer artillery guns from afar, slowly walking across the terrain towards its target.
And with each round that hits the ground, it bursts out, illuminating light brighter than the most brilliant daylight.
I show my red and white colors, which I was born to follow and defend, with no greater honor than protecting the people.
Countless people within the land have ancestors coming from afar, emigrating to this country, freeing themselves and their family members from the old feudal systems.
From the West to the East Coast, I am part of a nation that symbolizes a Maple Leaf that wraps the land, working together in a partnership between First Nations and Non-First Nations.
We all live together in a country that embraces others’ differences and permits people to live freely within any part of it.
Standing tall on our shorelines, we extend our hands and dreams, welcoming people from afar within different regions.
In keeping with our national symbol of the Beaver, we are a nation of builders, creating a multicultural country, representing hope and light to the rest of the world.
No matter where the people live in the nation, everyone has the right to shout out from the highest mountain tops, “We are Canadians and will be until our time on earth is finished.”
