Should you get cellular with the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE 2nd generation or new Apple Watch Ultra? I share with you what I consider the REAL reasons to get a cellular Apple Watch. A cellular Apple watch gives you calling and messaging away from your phone. Family sharing allows you to setup a watch for a loved one without a phone. You can keep in touch with the kids through the watch or see where they are at. A cellular Apple watch also is great for safety. If your iPhone battery watch dies, you can still call someone. If you are in an accident, crash detection can call for help. Is Cellular on an Apple Watch a waste of money? I don't think so, I think it is a great backup plan at a minimum. But the fitness features, apps, messaging and calling make the Apple watch a valuable tool. Cellular just makes it even better.
