Several months ago my father bought an AST premium 286 from Chinese Ebay. It arrived with a generic AT motherboard and a horrifying burn mark in the chassis. I decided to take this chance, buy a bunch of original AST parts for the premium 286, and try to restore this PC to its former flory.
