The first wave of U.S. real-time payments consisted of RTP deployment, connecting the first generation of real-time payment adopters to the RTP network and achieving critical mass on the network’s journey to scale. Now the second wave of U.S. real-time payments is centered around enabling new innovative feature functionality and capabilities to drive a wide range of use cases, and the emerging third wave features the continued maturation, expansion, and reach of the RTP network. This panel convenes representatives from providers, users, and the operator of the RTP network for a view into how the RTP network’s feature functionality is being used to develop innovative capabilities and a look into the future of real-time payments both domestically and globally.
