The Pace Report: "Rememberance" The John Patitucci Interview
Welcome to this special edition of @ThePaceReport featuring bassist, composer, and bandleader John Patitucci live at the 2023 Peperoncino Jazz Festival.

John in addition to being one of the artistic director's of the Peperoncino Jazz Festival, he played a set of a weeklong night of dates at the famed Birdland Jazz Club in New York City. He played a couple of nights with saxophonist Russell Ferrante of The Yellowjackets and his Remembrance Trio featuring Joe Lovano on sax and Brian Blade on drums with Rogerio Boccato on percussion.

In a career spanning over four decades, John is a four-time Grammy award winning musician who's recorded and toured with the likes of Stan Getz, Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Wayne Shorter, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Paul Simon, and Wynton Marsalis.

John and I sat down during the 2023 Peperoncino Jazz Festival to reflect on the life of Wayne Shorter, Monk Montgomery, and Charlie Haden,
