In the tense months of 1939, after narrowly escaping the clutches of the Gestapo following a failed assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler, Sir Robert Hunter finds himself haunted by the specter of his pursuers. Back in England, he learns that his own government might betray him to the Germans. Faced with this treachery, Sir Robert chooses the shadows, disappearing into clandestine warfare against those who seek to silence him. As Europe hurtles towards war, Sir Robert's perilous game of survival morphs into a relentless battle for justice and redemption against an implacable enemy.
