What If Future Goku was alive when the Androids attacked?

In this Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super What If it has been two and a half years since the defeat of Freeza and King Cold on Earth - on the day that would mark the end of Goku’s life originally. Instead of an agonizing demise, Goku spends the day with his family and training. The Heart Virus he had contracted a few days prior already has a readily available cure on Earth years earlier than the original story - this is the major change that alters everything.
Having contracted the Heart Virus at all still forces Goku to confront his own mortality. A fight he can’t win where things like disease can take him down without him even being able to throw a punch. These thoughts will linger in his mind for now.
Things are by all accounts normal, but this seeming peace can only last for so long. Six months pass and the androids are released onto the world. We don't know what happened to Androids 19 and 20 beyond the fact that Android 20 was killed by 17 and 18 when they were also released.
It’s hard to be certain of anything, and because of that I believe the Z-fighters never encountered Gero in this timeline - instead he met his demise before he could ever face them. Leading to an eventual encounter that was shown in the Future Trunks Special. So just like the special, Vegeta has managed to become a Super Saiyan in the three years since Freeza and with Goku around maybe there is some fleeting hope, but as Vegeta charges in boasting about his new found power, that hope quickly fades.
