This winter I had a trip to some Caucasian countries, the first of which was Azerbaijan. Apart from the most typical touristic attractions I also visited a small mountainous village called LAHIC, which is very famous for its handicrafts and is usually visited by tourists in the summer. What I got to know then is that in this village they speak a different language from the rest of the country. This language is called TAT.
The Tat language is a Southwestern Iranian language related to Persian. It's spoken by the Tats in Azerbaijan and Russia.
During my trip I got interested in this language and decided to make a video about it. I also interviewed a Tat speaker. So, in this video I'm going to share some shots from the trip together with some extracts of my interview.
