Hi everyone and welcome to the Garden Green channel.
This is a channel where you will be able to see a lot of useful tips.
Today's topic is lawn.
The best time to aerate and clean the lawn is between March and the end of May.
In autumn from mid-September to mid-October.
Spring has come..
The first thing we need to do with lawn is remove dead grass and aerate the lawn!
I will show you how to do those two things with one tool!
This is a simple and cheap alternative.
That's a prerequisite for not wondering the rest of the year, why does the lawn look worn out?
If you want a dense and resistant lawn, you should clean and aerate it at least once a year!
Some other actions are also needed.
There are many ways of cleaning and airing, today I will show you a simple and cheap method.
This tool will aerate your lawn and remove dead grass and moss.
Due to the vegetation cycle, dead grass remains often lie in the lawn, which create a layer of organic material.
That layer of dead grass takes away light and oxygen, and it prevents the arrival of nutrients and water to the roots.
First we need to mow the lawn, in order to reach the dead remains more easily.
The first cut should be about 5 cm (2 inches) high.
You should cross the lawn once along and once across.
The second cut should be about 4 cm (1.5 inches) high.
Adjust the mower one position less toward the ground.
This is a prerequisite for healthy and thick grass!
In a few days the grass will recover.
The next phase is fertilizing.
But we will leave a few days for the grass to get oxygen first!
We will show you fertilization in the next video!
