Silenzio, Bruno! Sometimes we just have to quiet the doubt in our minds and power through - even Hollywood filmmakers like the crew behind the Disney Pixar film Luca.

Developing, recording, and animating a film in the midst of a pandemic isn’t an easy job - add in inventing new animation technology and it could be a potential recipe for disaster. But that didn’t stop director Enrico Casarosa from putting his all into the film.

Luca is a coming of age story about two young sea monsters, Luca and Alberto, who leave off the coast of the Italian Riviera. While their dream is to be able to to spend the summer in a coastal Italian town as humans, the prejudice of the other humans and disapproving parents get in the way of them having the time of their lives.

The behind the scenes of Luca, is just as amazing as the colorful utopia we saw on our screens. With a crew more unified then normal, they were able to create hidden magic behind the scenes that will be used in many more animated movies to come.

With inspirations from Japanese animations and Enrico’s very own life - just wait until you find out who the real Alberto is - Luca is more unique than we could have ever imagined.

Actors like Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Emma Berman were able to power through the difficulties - including some makeshift closet studios - and bring us the lively voices of Luca, Alberto, and Giulia!
