6 Astro is waaaay better than Dark Gunner, just look at this comparison:

Dark Gunner - removes Gunner crit of star core carrier but damage is increased by 120%
6 Astro - 110% damage increase, 25% lifesteal from any damage source

25% lifesteal is so good for late game where you are forced to equip defensive items. If both of these synergies are available for Roger in the same game, I will always choose Astro. 10% damage difference is so negligible.
