Select healthy and mature dragon fruit cutting of about 6-8 inches long.
Apply Aloe vera gel at the bottom hard portion of pitaya cutting.

Take fine sand in a pot having sufficient drainage. Moisten the sand and plant the cutting about 1-2 inche in moisten sand.
Water the cuttings lightly after planting to settle the sand around them. Avoid overwatering, as dragon fruit prefers a slightly dry environment.
Cover the whole pot with transparent polythene, to retain moisture in sand for loger and to avoid frequent watering.
keep the cutting in shades but in bright place for few days.
After 15 days new growth will appear from cutting .
