A young man's Lyme disease progresses quickly

In July of 2018, Samuel, age 37, died from complications of Lyme disease. He developed Lyme carditis associated with B. burgdorferi infection, transmitted by a tick bite. Sudden cardiac death can occur in a small subset of patients with Lyme carditis. In this video, Samuel's family and physicians share his story in the hopes of raising awareness of symptoms.
