Founder & CEO Daniel Kim showcases four different gyroscopes, how they work, their placement in the AEV, and why our vehicle architecture utilizes two gyros over one.

What are gyroscopes used for? Gyroscopes are typically used in earth observation satellites, but we've brought them down to a terrestrial application!

Why two gyroscopes?
1. One gyro runs out of the precession budget and creates unwanted yaw. Using just one gyro in normal driving scenarios and conditions would saturate the precessions budget, causing you to lose stability or have to pull over and stop the car to readjust.
2. Redundancy to maximize safety.
3. Double the torque for slippery surfaces.
