One question that came up, what metrics do you measure for high performance CAS teams? 

Kane Polakoff weighed in and decided to keep it simple.

He looks at the financial statements for CAS, things like: 

💸 Gross Margin 
💸 Operating Income

Of course utilization (and other metrics) are important, but he treats the CAS department like its own business, and so as they recommend to their clients, he dives right into the financial statements.

He also dives into budgeting and forecasting just like the service he is delivering to the client ( 💡 take your own medicine 💡)

He talks about measuring other metrics like average billable rate, but concluded with …
