Professional opportunity is overwhelmingly treated as an individual experience, as something to seek and to receive. We rarely frame opportunity as something to give. Professional opportunity should have a chain effect, meaning what we are given, we give forward. If we started to collectively give more often, it would change the community of new professionals. Giving in any form builds experiences, generates new ideas, and lifts up those who are coming next.
