Craftsman/Author Nick Engler reveals the magic behind scrapers -- thin sheets of tool steels that can smooth a surface in seconds. He explains the traditional method and the "easy" method to sharpen scrapers, both rectangular and curved. Then he demonstrates how to use them , leaving a surface as smooth as if you had sanded it with 120# sandpaper. For more information on using and sharpening scrapers, pick up Nick's books, "Using Hand Tools" and "Sharpening" from our store at https://workshopcompanionstore.com/pr... and https://workshopcompanionstore.com/pr... .

By the way, Nick uses a 10-inch "single-cut second" mill file for sharpening scrapers. You can finf these files on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Crescent-Nicho...
