Continuous Medical Education (CME) is important for the advancement of knowledge of healthcare professionals in practice either by acquiring new or refreshing knowledge, insights and technical know-how on management of specific patient needs. To be able to do this, CMEs need to be purpose driven, contextualized the practice environment and needs and most importantly anchored in a culture of continuous improvement.
In this video I look into the CME models we have, the current gaps and how we can improve them focusing on improving access to quality healthcare services and products to patients who need them.
