I often walk through the area, showing people people sites which reveal the Jewish roots of this area. Boyle Heights in east Los Angeles was at one time very much an immigrant community akin to the Lower East-side of New York City, rich with diversity. We also walked up City Terrace, to see a much forgotten shul few people know still stands. This was just impromptu while i was during my regular Sunday walk all lazily, hopefully i can do a more complete and factual tour soon.
