The 2023 Honda Civic Type R will no doubt go down in the history books as one of the greatest hot hatches of all time. And, perhaps more critically, one of the last of the raw, all-petrol models ever made.

Honda has boosted the 2.0-litre VTEC turbo engine slightly so now it produces 7kW more, at 235kW, with a strong 420Nm of torque. There's also a lighter flywheel, revised gearbox with rev-matching technology, and all-new aerodynamics for the body. It's awesome.
