True Or False: Should Your Gas Tank Be At Least Half Full In Winter? The Answer!

I've heard it said many times from many different sources (my father included), "You need to keep your gas tank at least half full during cold winter weather." And I've always made it a habit of doing that ever since I've had my own vehicles. But, the question is, is that true, or is that just some old adage or wives tale that keeps getting passed down from generation to generation, that may not really be correct?
