Simple and Delicious and Nutritious Cooked Pinto Beans.
Gluten-Free, Oil-Free

COOKED PINTO BEANS

1 lb (16 oz) bag dried pinto beans
6 c water
8 oz canned tomato sauce
½ medium onion, chopped or 1 T dehydrated minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 T parsley flakes
½ T salt
1 T paprika
1 T nutritional yeast flakes
1 T lemon juice

Put dried pinto beans in a mixing bowl, and wash it several times. Put enough water to cover the pinto beans and let it soaked overnight. Drain water completely. Put soaked pinto beans and water in a large pot. Bring to a full boil on a high heat. Skim off the foam. Add tomato sauce and remaining ingredients. Reduce heat medium-low and cover. Cook for 1 to 1 ½ hours until pinto beans are tender. Stir several times. Delicious! It freezes well.
