Palestinian Mahmoud al-Shawwa, who fled Gaza during the Israeli army's attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip, took refuge in makeshift tents in Deir Balah in Gaza City. The groom al-Shawwa, who married his fiancée Siham Alwan from Gaza, held his wedding in a makeshift tent. Relatives of the bride and groom attended the wedding in the tent. Traditional Palestinian dance performances were performed at the wedding.
- He wanted a house, not a tent
Siham Alvan, who dreamed of wearing a white wedding dress and entering the world with a beautiful wedding, was deprived of this dream.
"Like every young girl, I wanted to have a dowry, I wanted to have my own detached house, not a tent." Alvan said, adding that the war destroyed everything, our dreams and joys.
