Nothing can beat the flavour of a homegrown tomato I think we can all agree. So why don't more people grow them?

Truth is most people think it's complicated when it really isn't. Even here in Ireland it's possible to grow tomatoes successfully, even to grow them outdoors. You don't even need lots of space. The right variety of tomato will happily grow in a hanging basket outside all Summer producing delicious tomatoes that are way nicer than anything you'll buy in a supermarket.

Tomato plants can be bought cheaply in garden centres but if you want a wider choice of variety it's best to grow them from seed. In this video I'll show you how to sow your seeds and give them the best chance of germinating. I f you don't want to grow from seed that's ok, follow my later videos to see how to care for your plant and get the best harvest.

Any questions, leave them in the comments below. You can also follow me on instagram where I post regular updates on my tomatoes and flower farm

The second video will be up in a few weeks once my seeds have germinated. It will focus on pricking out & transplanting the seedlings.

Happy sowing! x
