we're back with another squonker team joint, this time with the delightful tetanus. i have played through this before and it shouldn't be nearly as painful as vigor, thankfully. and the whole level set has this really nice unified aesthetic that reminds me of crash bandicoot for whatever reason. there's also a lot of consistent signposting throughout - for example traps are generally indicated by an exclamation point on the ground showing where the trigger is. that doesn't mean it's a walk in the park though, and even the first level can get a little spicy. although a non trivial amount of challenge comes from the absence of the super shotgun in this level, and limited amounts of cells and rockets to cover the difference. with a bit of foresight or quick reactions it's pretty manageable, and once the archvile's control over the area with the red key door has been wrested away from it you're pretty much home free.
