My friend's 3D printer used a 3D printed belt block for the bed movement, but the heat from the bed would melt it. I'm not sure how the manufacturer could have designed something so poorly, but he asked me to make him an aluminium version of the block. I've been a little hesitant to put metal on my machines for fear of breaking something, but I recently got a Nomad 3 CNC and figured I may as well try. I'm happy with how well it turned out, and can't wait to make more metal parts in the future!
