To me, a “perfect” episode isn’t necessarily the “greatest” or even my own personal favorite of a particular series. Rather it is one that sets out to accomplish a singular narrative goal and executes it flawlessly. Episodes I consider perfect include “College” of The Sopranos, “Chicanery” of Better Call Saul, and “Zuko Alone” of Avatar The Last Airbender.

Today, I’d like to discuss the most recent addition to this list, the Season 2 episode of FX’s The Bear entitled “Forks”, specifically, its immaculate utilization of three act structure.
