Political uncertainty in Pakistan has taken a decisive turn. Two major political parties, the PML-N and the PPP, have joined forces to form a coalition government. The alliance brings to an end the political stalemate that has gripped the nation since elections last week. The two parties first joined hands to oust Imran Khan's government in 2022. The present coalition means Khan's PTI will be kept out of power, even though independent candidates allied with the party gained the most votes.
