House Republicans opened that long-promised investigation into President Joe Biden and his family.

With the power of their new majority, demands for information from the Treasury Department and former Twitter executives are beginning to lay the groundwork for public hearings.

The House Oversight Committee sent letters to the Treasury Department requesting flagged suspicious financial transactions by members of the Biden family.

Lawmakers also want testimony from multiple former Twitter executives involved in the company's handling of an October 2020 story from the New York Post about Hunter Biden. Republicans claim that story was suppressed for political reasons.
