This is the best drill to release the golf club with power through the impact zone.

To create power in your golf swing you need to hit down on the golf ball. However hitting down, does not mean your body should be moving down. Instead, you should push up through the ball and let your wrists release. This way you are able to more power while still hitting down - creating power and compression.

In this golf lesson, PGA Pro Kerrod Gray and Alex Riggs demonstrate a drill that involves gripping the club halfway down the shaft and matching the extension of the lead knee with the extension of the arms and club through impact.
